What’s happening

Summer time NENI

During the summer, NENI remains open every evening for dinner, takeaway and delivery.

As the summer season begins, our bar, lunch, and brunch concepts will take a short summer break from 6 July until 28 August.

During this period we take some time to recharge and prepare exciting new ideas for the upcoming season.

We look forward to welcoming you back for lunch, brunch, and drinks from 29 August onwards.

About NENI

NENI stands for the Eastern Mediterranean kitchen and dining experience presented by the Molcho family. The name is composed of the initials of Nuriel, Elior, Nadiv & Ilan, the four sons of kitchen virtuoso Haya Molcho.

Family and friends are an integral part of their lives and shape the NENI concept, as well as the family’s Levant, Romanian and Spanish roots. NENI lives by sharing dishes together, of passion and joie de vivre — in short Balagan, sympathetic chaos. The motto of the family: Life is beautiful. Be part of it.

The Restaurant

The main restaurant is located on the former concrete garage floor. The split-level character of NENI Amsterdam allows a view on various levels at the same time. The main attraction is the large open kitchen placed in the middle of the space. Most guests have a direct view on the kitchen that is showcased in a large glass house. Eating is done at long tables around this kitchen, or at the counters near the chefs. Guests will then have a great view on the charcoal fired robata grill, or the domed oven used for special fish and vegetable preparations. Fig trees and a cloud of lanterns hanging from the ceiling add to the Mediterranean atmosphere.

The Lemonman

The Lemonman pays homage to the Citroën founder’s father, Roelof Citroen. This Amsterdam-based family were fruit merchants in this part of the city and Roelof was given the nickname “de limoenman” (translated freely to the “lemonman”). This local hang out features an interesting wine and beer collection and, as the name already may suggest, it also offers a variety of lemon and arak based signatures and cocktails.

For more information please visit our Lemonman website.
